I took this photo in 2012 at Knoxville Raceway (Iowa). It was the second of three GNC races that I was able to crew for Bill Gately. My 2007 Triumph America cruiser is to the left of the tent. Bill's street tracker is behind the Triumph banner. And Mikey Martin's horse is under the lights. I was pleased with how this turned out.
My gollies that black T120 is nice. Do you (N.N.) know who did the rendering?
Next question, referring to Ross Munro's Honda 350 photograph: Do those twins do well in FT racing? I'm familiar with their success in AHRMA roadracing, but have never seen a CB350 at the quarter-mile track where I do most of my spectating and envious pouting. Thanks for schooling me, if anybody cares to do so.
Here's one more that may be of interest.
@ about 0:50 there are three successive slides of the Frederick Maryland 1/2 mile from 1922, 1975 & 2019 (when this video was compiled). The last four slides are Cruise, his dad Cory, his dad Randy and his dad Ray Texter. You may recognize a few other faces.
Four icons of the golden age in one shot. Some years ago I stole this from the (now defunct) Eddie Boomhower site and so apologize to whoever the true owner is. With Mert wrenching, this would be Carr's first year with Harley-Davidson. The track is Hagerstown Maryland. Early July and hotter than the gates of hell. Still daylight so probably during qualifying. What are Mert and Jay looking at???
